The original montage of 3 locomotives at the top of the home page were chosen by me. They are, my 47 (47402), a Western on Talacre (Mike Dunning) and a pair of 37s on Talacre at night.
You do not need to be a MIGO + 1 member but members pictures will be used in preference to others. I prefer realistic shots, something that has the viewer questioning “is that real or a model”. As a general guide for photos:-
Shoot from a few feet away.
Try to shoot in natural daylight and do not use flash.
Garden plants make good background material, especially random greenery.
Let me have the full size picture, I can crop it down and fix small errors.
Get right down to track level so that you are looking up at the subject
E-mail the picture to me with the word “montage” in the title.
